Karen Asp is a freelance journalist who specializes in health, fitness, nutrition, animals (companion and farmed), and travel. During her career, Karen has held several positions on mastheads. She was the fitness columnist for Allure for eight years and a contributing writer for Woman’s Day for eight years. Today, she’s a contributing writer for VegNews and Sentient Media and the contributing health editor for TheBeet.com.
Her credits include Real Simple, Eating Well, Martha Stewart Living, Better Homes & Gardens, SELF, Oxygen, Forks Over Knives, USA Today, Sentient Media, Women’s Health, VegNews, Prevention, and O. She’s also the author of two books, most recently “Anti-Aging Hacks.”
An ACE-certified personal trainer with several Nordic walking world championships (and two world records) under her feet, Karen loves educating people about achieving their healthiest selves not only through fitness but also nutrition. She’s a Vegan Lifestyle Coach & Educator, vegan mentor, and plant-based expert certified through the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies.
