What is PT-141 Prescribed For?

PT-141 peptide is primarily prescribed for the treatment of hypoactive sexual desire disorder (HSDD) in premenopausal women and erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. It can be used off-label for sexual arousal disorders.

How Does PT-141 Work?

PT-141 stimulates the brain’s melanocortin receptors and causes the brain to release nitric oxide. PT-141 directly influences sexual desire and arousal by acting on the central nervous system.

Possible side effects include: Nausea, Flushing, Headache, Increased blood pressure

Warnings

PT-141 can cause increases in blood pressure and decrease in heart rate, which typically return to normal within 12 hours. If you have cardiovascular conditions or uncontrolled high blood pressure, PT-141 may not be suitable for you. Severe nausea may occur, particularly after the first dose.

Use during pregnancy is not recommended as it may harm an unborn baby. Discuss breastfeeding risks with your physician.
